Plumbers Needed | Data Center Fitting Project | Richmond, Virginia
Kodiak is seeking experienced Plumbers for a long-term data center fitting project in Richmond, Virginia. We are looking for dependable craftsmen with experience fitting copper pro press and PVC pipe who take pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.
This position involves installing and assembling piping systems, working with copper pro press and PVC pipe, and ensuring all work meets code and specification. Candidates should be comfortable working in a data center environment and possess strong plumbing and fabrication skills.
Responsibilities
- Install, assemble, and maintain copper pro press and PVC piping systems
- Perform pro press connections on copper piping systems
- Work with water, gas, and drainage systems as required
- Read and interpret blueprints and job specifications
- Measure, cut, and fit pipe accurately
- Maintain proper fit-up and prepare assemblies to specification
- Perform quality checks to ensure work meets code and drawing specifications
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
Job Type: Contract, 6+ months
Work Location: In person, Richmond, Virginia
Requirements
- Maintain a permanent residence more than 60 miles from the jobsite to qualify as a traveler
- Work the full scheduled shift each day to qualify for per diem
- Minimum 3 years of plumbing experience
- Proficiency with copper pro press systems required
- PVC pipe experience required
- Previous commercial or industrial plumbing experience strongly preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and job specifications
- Strong pipe layout, measuring, and fabrication skills
- Ability to accurately use standard plumbing tools
- Reliable attendance and ability to work scheduled overtime
