Pipefitters needed in Apple Grove, WV. 3–4 month project, 60 hours/week.
Pipefitter Job Responsibilities
Select the type and size of pipe and related materials and equipment, such as supports, hangers, and hydraulic cylinders, according to job specifications
Inspect the worksite to determine the presence of obstructions
Plan sequence of installation to avoid obstructions and activities of other workers
Cut pipe using a reciprocating saw, pipe cutter, cutting torch and pipe cutting machine, and/or other small hand tools
Thread pipe using a threading machine
Bend pipe by hand or with pipe-bending tools and machines
Mount pipe hangers and brackets on walls and ceiling to hold the pipe
Assemble and install a variety of metal or nonmetal pipes and pipe fittings
Secure pipes to structure with brackets, clamps, and hangers, using hand and power tools
Perform minor maintenance and cleaning of tools and equipment
Observe and comply with all safety and project rules and all company policies and procedures
Perform other duties as required
